I received confirmation from my employer that my H1B petition got filed on 8-Jun-12. (cap reached on 11-Jun from USCIS sources). Does it mean filing the application itself will count against the cap or acceptance of application only will count against the cap? As I received the confirmation from my employer that the application is filed, can I be sure of getting the petition number from USCIS after the specified time? Or will there be any chances of rejecting the petition?
