Hi, I am in US on valid H1b petition till next year and valid visa till 2015. If i want to switch company in US, my new employer is ready to get petition transfer. After this if i try to go outside US for vacation to my home country will i require visa stamping again since my valid visa is in name of my previous employer. Sahiba
It is not mandatory to get stamping done through new employer as long as the previous visa stamp has not expired. However, some employers prefer to have the visa stamp in their name and some employees prefer to keep visa stamp and petition in sync. Your new attorney can guide you more on this.
