H1B petetion filed in cap-exempt on 13th May 2015 & still my case status showing as case received

Hi –

My employer has filled H1B petition in cap-exempt using my old I797 approval notice on 13th May 2015 &provided receipt number to track status. I am check case status regularly from past 4 months ,but no change in status from My Case Received .I have asked my employee 2 days back about this and replied stating will be taking 4 month because of new H4 visa rule change policy.

Could some let me know, how long will it take to get approval?

It depends… It looks like your employer filed in regular. These days its taking longer time for processing the regular petitions. I would wait for atleast next one more month for further updates. Mean time, if you are hurry, try to contact on customer service number.

Mine is in pending with UCIS since last 4 months, how long it might take?
