H1B joining date & port of entry date concern

Hi,

I got my VISA stamped on 10Oct 2014 for H1B & my wife got H4 VISA. We both went together for interview. All went well.

My concern is can we both fly together? My employeer wants me to Join on 1st Oct, so can I enter US on 29 Sep 2014 along with my wife? Or I am not allowed to enter in US before 1st Oct?

Please confirm as I have to book my tickets accordingly.

Any time after 21st September . You Visa might have a date stamped like Not valid before 21st Septemeber otherwise USCIS rule is 10 days before 1stOct which is 21st Sep
