H1B+H4 group dropbox - spouse case still pending while other is approved

Hi,

I and my wife had our dropbox appointment at Chennai Consulate in India. I am the H1B holder and my visa was approved and my passport was received in 13 days. However my wife’s H4 case is still in administrative processing. Is this normal ? I was under the impression that our case will be processed together.

Appointment date : 19th april 2022
Passport received for H1b holder : 2nd May
Visa Status of the dependent spuose : Administrative processing

Wait for few more days before doing a follow up. Such delay has been reported by few forum users.
