My H1b extension was denied after responding to the RFE for “specialty occupation” of April 21, 2021. I have an i140 approved.
This is the first time in 9 years that this has happened. I suspect it is due to the Role change. I have a family with 2 kids and I really want to know my options here. I work for a big MNC and the immigration attorneys have said that they will file for a brand new H1b extension. What are the chances of approval here? I have given them all the necessary documentation during the time of RFE itself and the firm also got an external evaluation done but still the extension was denied, It’s really stressful. What would I have missed or foreseen. This is for a senior program manager role. Appreciate any input.
