H1B COS - Consular Processing

@Kumar, I have similar situation. My spouse employer X applied H1B as consulate processing last year (2019) at that time my spouse was outside of USA, than May 2019 she traveled to USA with H4 and applied H4-EAD. she started working in H4-EAD for her employer X since this Jan 2020 and the same time her H1B also got approved in Jan 2020. now her employer X is suggesting to go for stamping to activate H1B. We are hesitant to go for stamping due to the current situation. what are the other option to change her status from H4 to H1B (which is approved for consulate processing).

Thanks in Advance,
Sethu

Well, they may consider to file and amendment, if anything has changed and apply for COS. This has to be discussed with attorney and then only done. Also, you may travel to Canada or Mexico and get stamping, that is another option…But, at this time, it is all risky with COVID…so, wait for the time and then apply for H1B stamping…
