H1B Clock Reset Process-Please Help

Hi Saurabh,

I have a question related to H1 B reset process, I first came to United States in 2006 and went back to India in 2010 and came back again in 2012. Effectively I stayed in India for 1.5 years before getting back to US again. Does that mean, my H1 is again reset for 6 more years?

I’ll appreciate if you clarify my doubt.

Your clock is not reset as you used a preivously approved petition. It would have been reset if you would have gone through the cap again in 2012.
