Hi, I’ve worked on L1 visa during 2000-2001 and returned to India. I have been frequenting to US over the last 10 years on B1/B2. Right now, I have accompanied my spouse (who is on H1) as a dependent (H4). During my tenure in 2000-2001, I had a SSN. I need to apply for H1 for the up coming quota. Would I have any benefit of having SSN (though it is inactive) ?
