My H1b application has been approved in the lottery.I received an email confirmation few days back. What are the next steps.

Also what is the process to get work permit for qualified h4 visa holder (spouse).

Congratulations on being selected in the lottery. The next step would be wait for the H1 petition approval followed by stamping. Please look at immihelp website for H4 process.

H-4 visa holder will get work permit (aka EAD) only if:

  • H-1 holder has an approved I-140

  • H-1 holder has spent more than 6 years of H-1 inside US and is in 7th year term
