H1b Amendment rejceted and extension is in RFE state

Hi Team,

I have traveled from xx to yy city in usa .

I recently applied for H1b amendment and extension from same client .Amendment got rejected and extension got RFE. Can i stay in same location until i get extension result.
My h1b expiry date till june 2019.

Usually you dont need amendment if the extension is being filed at the same time. But if the amendment was filed before extension and such amendment is rejected, you are still in status with the previous (un amended) H1B terms, thus, you should stay and work at xx city.
What is the Extension RFE saying?
