H1B after maxout

Hi folks…Need some guidance on my scenario. Anyone with similar case can share, others can chime in whatever you know positively

  • Travelled to US on L1B. Worked for 2.5 years

  • Converted to H1B. Worked for 3.5 years

  • Returned to India due to max-out (6yrs)

  • Stayed in India for 1 yr and now planning on travelling back to US on work

Questions:

  1. Is my H1B still valid? Do I need to apply afresh for a new one?

  2. Can I extend my earlier H1B? Can the petition be renewed? (not sure if this is a valid question also…)
