H1B a luck game now

The estimate this year for USCIS is to get 180K+ applications for H1B visa. I guess it would be a complete luck game for now.

Are there any particular steps that can be taken to ensure a better success rate in Lottery this year. I have been reading that mainly we should ensure

  1. The application reaches within first 5 working days of April

  2. Application should not have any issues.

the above 2 steps are mainly handled by the attorney/company. Is there something an employee can do to increase the chances of success apart from accurately providing the information needed by the company/attorney?

Also does a higher salary increases the chances of getting a h1b?

Applications are open till April 1 to 5, provided the cap is reached. Else it will be extended till the cap reaches

There is NO way to increase the chances of getting picked in lottery (unless you have 2 or more H1’s being applied from different employers)
