I am currently in US on H1B. My current term is expiring in 4 months and my employer is working for an extension. However, my current role as per original peition is Consultant. Now they are planning to file the extension with a different role. Are there any threats? Will my visa go for an amendment?
As long as you are qualified for the new role, it should be ok. They will file the LCA for new role followed by H-1 extension petition.
