Hi Saurabh,
I was working as a full time employee on H1-B and got laid off on October 30, 2013 but the company decided to keep me on payroil for an extra month and I have pay stubs till November 28, 2013. I have been looking for a job since then and I just found a job last week. I have a Masters degree from the US and have worked in US for 3 years. My H1-B was revoked on December 19, 2013. My lawyer says that they will be doing a Counsellor Processing for me since I have been out of status for little over a month now. Do you know if this is the correct process and what are the chnaces for my new H1-B to get approved?
Also, once my new H1-B gets approved, I will get a new I-797, will I need to travel out of US for visa stamping or can I continue to work on the approved H1 and I-797?
Which countries would you suggest that I go for stamping? Is it true that these days Canada is risky? Which place in Canada is the safest these days?
How are Jamaica, Bahamas for H1-B stamping? Is there a place you can suggest for my case?
Thank you very much!
Kind Regards
Radhika
