H1 B :Fresh Filing Q's

Hi All,

I have travelled to US on L1 Visa in year of 1999, 2001, and total stay for 9 months, Couple of questions in context with fresh h1 filing in next year.

  1. I am not sure whether I returned I-94 slip while I am travelled back. Would it be an issue, if do not return I-94 at POE ?

  2. since I stayed there for six months have filed tax in a financial year, but unable to find those tax receipts. Is it mandatory to have those now ?

  3. Should I need to have those L1 petition copies now , just as a supporting documents

  1. It may still be ok. You would have got your passport stamped at Indian immigration desk on your return. That can be used to show that you left US in a timely manner.

  2. It is ok not to have them. It was almost 15 years ago.

  3. If you can get them, well and good. If not, it is still ok.
