We live in Germany and have filed for H1B in 2019. Our Application got picked up in 2019 and due to the Covid rules, could not be processed. We went for an interview in Aug 2021 but we were given 221(g). The Officer asked if we have NIE letter, and when we said no, he said the consultant does not seem to be legitamate. The validity is expiring this September 2022. We are in strange situation now as we got the German Citizenship couple of weeks ago. I am not sure if the H1B is valid anymore as we applied with Indian Passport. We are trying to get information from many people, but since not many apply from Europe no body is able to help us out.
The 221(g) is still showing refused and we have no clue how to get through this situation.
Kindly reply if anybody is aware of this scenario.
