H1 B 2016 status

Hi ,

My employer applied for H1B visa in April 2015 . The attorney says that they have not received any specific information regarding my case and so far they have not received the application in case it was not selected.

Does that mean my petition was not picked in the lottery or could it be something else?

Please help advise.

Yes unfortunately its almost certain that it did not get picked up.
