H1 approved/ Lost project: Risky to change employer/ industry on OPT?

My scenario:

Thank you for reading, ill keep is as short as possible.

  1. On OPT till Sep 31, 2013.

  2. H1 Approved.

  3. EVVC model/ IT support

  4. Project ended on September 5.

My question is, can I now safely change my employer (To another consultacy/ Fulltime) or my domain (Say from IT to Accounting) without impacting my H1?

To change employer you need to file cap exempt H1B transfer…you simply cannot change your jobs without that
