My visa had expired in Sep 2015 , I applied for extension and it got approved for only 1 year period
Is this new rule that visa can be approved for only one year period?
USCIS approves it for a certain term based on various factors:
-
how much time is left before the person reaches 6 year limit
-
what employer has asked for in the I-129 filing
-
what they seem is appropriate term based on submitted information and supporting documents like client letter etc
