green card process after returning back to India

Hi,

I have an approved EB1 I-140 with priority date in 2018. I had to return to India in 2021 due to personal reasons. Just before returning I did apply for I-485 (adjustment of status). The I-485 got approved and I also received notice for appearing for biometrics after I left US.

Now I am planning to return back to the US.

Will my I-140 priority date remain valid? I guess I need to re-apply for I-485. What will be the typical processing time?

Will the green card processing be quicker if I join my old company or I may join any other company in the same job category?

Your i140 remains valid. Re apply for AOS after you return to US.

If your i140 emplolyer is still offering the job, its the best bet for you but not required as you might have passed 180 days of post i140 approval date with your i140 employer.
