Got the Electronic Registration ID from Employer, Now what?

My wife’s employer applied for H1B for this year. They sent us the Electronic Registration ID and the email clearly says:
You will not be able to track the status if this resgistration ID anywhere.

Now how can we be sure the tracking number they provided belongs to us and not just some random number? How to make sure the employer really filed for her?

No, it the status shows “selected” then picked. Only your employer can tell that.

So, I just have to trust the employer’s word that he really filed for H1B this year…!
