Got H1b visa for more duration than petition approval date

Hi guys,

My h1b petition I.e on i797 got approval till sep 2016 , where as on my passport visa got stamped till sep 2018… Got visa for 5 years rather than 3 years. Will it cause any problems??

please advise.

Hi,

I am in the same situation too. My I797 is approved only till 6th Oct 2014, but visa has been stamped til dec 2018?

will this be an issue? or do they stamp it again till the petition approval date?

Any help is appreciated…
