FILED h1b IN 2007 APRIL QUOTA AND PETITION GOT APPROVED

Hi,

This is Venkata. I had approcahed a consultancy for h1b filing in 2008 and went thru lottery process. It got selected and received petition papers. But those papers are not with me. This Year I am planning to go for h1b process through some other consultant. Do i need to go for fresh h1b processing or the one was filed in 2008 petition is enough to go for stamping now. Please answer me and let me know if you need additional information.

If the old petition was approved and you know the receipt number, then another employer can file cap-exempt petition for you (aka H-1 transfer). Once the new petition is approved, you can appear for stamping.
