Fake h1b reciept possible?

Hi Saurabh and all,

As we all know ,that consultancies take money to file h1b .

is there a possiblity that they can send a fake receipt to the person who has applied just to grab money. As they send only scan copy of receipt, also to add that reciept number is available on USCIS site…but may be that receipt belongs to some other person…is that possible?

Good question but no. Consultancies in this business depend on profits via appropriate billing rates and margins. Actions such as the one you describe will complicate matters seriously. I don’t think it is a pathway these companies will follow. Nobody wants to go to Federal Court.
