F2 visa chances of approval after tourist visa rejected

Hi,
I applied for tourist visa in March 2017 for a small vacation in my friend’s place in USA, but it was rejected by form 214(b). I got married in May 2017 in India and my spouse is studying PhD in USA from 2016. We have decent funds and my spouse is also getting good stipend. I have applied for F2 visa and my interview is in June 2017.

Please let me know will my previous B1/B2 visa rejection impact on my F2 visa and cause any problems in approval? Also, I am physically disabled person. I walk by using ankle crutches. Will my disability impact my visa approval?

Each visa application is assessed on its own merits. Usually the previous rejections don’t impact as long as it wasn’t due to submission of false/fraud documents/information.

While it is true that the consulars takes one’s physical ability into consideration while issuing certain visas, it is definitely NOT applicable for F2/H4.
