F2 visa- already having b1

Hi All,

I am on F1 visa, graduating in Aug 2018. My wife, when working, had visited me on B1 in December and now wants to move with me to the US on F2, and later down the line get F1.

For her to now apply for F2, would VO ask her, why is she applying for a new visa, instead of visiting me on B1 since she can stay for 6 months(till my graduation)? Is there any justification that can be provided?

Yes, she got the visa. No such questions were asked.
