F1 visa stamping

Hi,

Currently my wife was on H4 Visa and she would like to do her studies. got I-20 one of public university.

I had applied for Change of status in the month of OCT -18 and waiting for that , but now a days it taking more than 6 months to get conformation.

so we are thinking to travel Tijuana, Mexico and do F1 visa stamping . could you please suggest and guide?

Well, as per Mexico Embassy Website : https://mx.usembassy.gov/visas/third-country-nationals/ , you cannot really go for F1 stamping. You can only do it for renewals. In general, it is recommended to go to home country to get Visa Stamping.
