i attended f1 visa interview on 11th june 2015. After 48 hrs i checked my visa status in ceac.state.gov website. it is showing administrative processing. what does it mean? how many days does it take to receive visa?
It means that initial approval of your visa at the time of interview has been converted in to fresh review of your case. Your visa can be rejected also
However you may get visa after clearance from USA.
Consulate will contact you by e mail.
There is nothing that you can do now except wait
Administrative processing takes minimum 1 day maximum 2/3 months.
But in your case it is likely to be between 3/4 days to 3/4 weeks depending upon what clearance consulate is seeking from USA
