Extension of spouse's ead on basis of i94 extension?

Hi All,

I am on L1 B visa and my spouse is on L2. My visa is expiring soon. My spouse has EAD valid till my L1 expiry date. My employer wants to apply for my i94 extension instead of extending L1. Can EAD be extended on the basis of i94 or L1 extension is mandatory for extension of EAD?

Yes, EAD can be extended once the husband and wife have received extended I-94s.
