enter US when there are only few days left in i-94

hi

my h1b expires on dec 27th 2013. my extension is filed in premium and i got my receipt notice. now iam planning to travel to india for a month and come back to US by dec 1st week. following are my questions;

  1. can i travel to india after just after getting my h1b extension receipt notice?

  2. when i return back to US (after vecation), i will have hardly 20 days left in my visa/i-94. will that be a problem at US port of entry? is there any clause that we can enter US only if we have a visa which is valid atleast for 2 or 3 months?

please advice.
