I have to travel to India due to emergency. My H1B extension is initiated and don’t know the status right now. I have still valid visa until July 2017. I am working under same client. Can please suggest here immediately.
You can travel until July 2017. Just have the receipt notice in hand, as a proof that extension has been applied.

By rules, USCIS has to give you decision by 15 days from the day they received your premium application. If not, they are supposed to refund the premium fee charged.
