Ds160 place of birth

Hi,

In my passport Place of birth is mentioned in format place,district name.

Example rishikesh,dehradun

But in ds160 Place of birth I have mentioned as place only which is rishikesh and didn’t mentioned as rishikesh,dehradun. I have already scheduled my appointment.

Kindly advise if I need to fill new ds160.

It is ok and not a big deal. You have 2 options:

  1. When appearing for biometrics request the person to update your DS form and populate that field.

  2. Complete another DS form and carry the new form to biometrics. There request the person to swap the old DS# with new one.
