ds-160 is your father/ mother in us?

Hi,

We have 3 week vacation plans in month of July. But we need to go for H1b stamping.



At present, filling DS-160 for myself, wife and daughter.



In daughter's ds-160; it asks for Family information -> Father Info -> Is your father in US?



 



WHat should I answer it? As I will be with her for H1b stamping in INDIA.



I tried searching online but got conflicting responses.





I am confused; Please help me!

IMO, the answer should be yes. Stamping is always done outside US, and so most of the times, the father of the minor will be outside US at the time of stamping (assuming family travels together). But in general, you are a US resident and so the response should be Yes.
