DS-160 form filling marital status-Not applying dependent visa for spouse

  1. My passport has marital status=SINGLE

  2. I’m not applying for dependent visa for spouse.

  3. Please suggest the required entry I need to make in the DS-160 form.

  4. Will it be required to carry marriage related docs in this scenario?

If you are married, fill the form saying you are married and provide required details. This has nothing to do with your spouse applying for a visa. You don’t have to produce any marriage related docs for your visa.

and what do you mean by passport has marital status = SINGLE?

I think he means to say that spouse’s name is not mentioned in the passport.

Thanks for the response. Yes, the spouse name is not mentioned in my passport as my marital status at the time of passport renewal was single which is mentioned in the passport.
