I am on H4 visa, recently we got extension for h1. Iam trying to get the drivers license in chicago. But, when i go to get the instruction permit, i have asked to get the letter from the HLS that is sent to my mail id or by postal in a week or 10 days for which they have made a request. But, i am not getting the letter from anywhere. Please let me know what to do with this. I need the drivers license to drop my son in the school. Because of this reason i am unable to send my son to the school. Please anyone if you know the process or any alternative please let me know.
