Does I140 approval notice mandates minimal stay with current employer?

Hi All,

Am in H1B visa. Have got my I140 approval notice couple of months back. Is it mandatory to stay with current employer for 6 months ? Heard that if we leave company before 6 months (from the I140 approval notice date), employer can withdraw 140. Is it so?

No one can force you to stay with your GC sponsoring employer.

They can even withdraw after 6 months. If I-140 is withdraw before 180 days, you will be able to retain the priority date but wont be able to use the I-140 for AC21 H1B extension of status beyond 6 years.
