Do US companies hire indian nationals and sponsor H1-B for them, if not worked in US earlier, but have good skills?

I want to know if US companies consider indian nationals with work experience in india, but have adequate skill set, to sponsor H1-B visa . If we apply through the website like Monster or CareerBuilder, will they consider our profile?
