When my me, my wife and kids entered US recently, the CBP officer stamped all our passports and wrote a date in them. For me and my son, it shows the end date of the i797 which is also visa approval date but for my wife, they put the date of her passport expiry which I thought was the standard procedure (but my son’s passport is expiring next year but his date in stamp is not as per the passport expiry) but when I checked the i94 online her date is also showing as the i797 one which is different from what was entered on passport stamp. so I am confused if that is anything to be concerned about and if the CBP officer made any mistake with dates in stamp and i94 for my wife?
