I sent my OPT application paperwork almost 4 weeks ago. USPS has confirmed that they delivered my package but I haven’t received any SMS/Email or I797 from them yet. Should I send a new application? Please advice. Thank you very much.
Usually, it can take anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks. Some may take an extra week…one thing you can do is to try calling USCIS and asking about your situation using the tracking number of USPS. Also, discuss with your DSO and then make a decision if you need to send one again.
I just received the SMS and an email from USCIS, so 3.5 weeks since I sent my application.
I will wait for the receipt notice now. Thanks your advice.

Great. Do update the thread, once you get it. So that other users have idea on the delays.
