I have an Indian Passport with a valid F-1 Visa. Last year when I visited India, I accidentally got the passport wet. Then I went and got myself the new passport. Now I have a Fresh new passport and a Damaged passport with the valid Visa. I also got the stamp which says “Passport not valid, but the visa within the passport is valid” I was granted entry as well by showing the old passport to the customs at the airport.
My Question is:
Since my company is filling for my H-1B Sponsorship, what passport number does my employer has to input for the H-1B filling.
The fresh new passport or the damaged one with the valid F-1 Visa.
