Currently in L2EAD.Options if I am not selected in H1B lottery.

Hi,

Currently I am in L2.I have EAD and working .My Company has filed H1B for me and my spouse this year.My Spouse has already been selected in lottery.If my petition will not be selected ,then Can my Company convert it to L1B from L2?

Are there any other option before me so that I can continue working.

If you qualify for L-1, then they can file L-1 COS for you. Otherwise, you need to move to H-4.

Are you aware of L-1 requirements?

Thanks for your reply.
I have been working in L2 EAD for same company since last 2.5 years.
Can they apply L1 for me?When UI checked with my immigration attorney,she asked me to wait till the lottery results come out,then only she will give me options :frowning: .

We were thinking of another option and need your valuable input whether it is feasible or not.
if my spouse’s petition will be approved,then he will not do the change of status and stay on L1 so that I can work on L2 EAD till my company files fresh H1B petition next year for 2015 quota.

For L-1, it is required that you have worked for that employer for at least 1 year outside US in the past 3 years. Have you done that?
