CPT to H1 - change of status approved but H1 still in progress

Hi,

I am on F1 - CPT right now and applied for h1 in April 2013… I answered RFE on Dec 9th. I heard from my school that on my SEVIS, they see chnage of status approved but my lawyers still havent heard anything from USCIS and also in the website its still in RFE Review status…

So does change of status approval means i am going to get my h1…did this happen to any one…any thought u have can be shared …Thank you

SEVIS is updated first and it takes 2 to 3 weeks more for changes to reflect across all systems.

Hi Shankar,
I still haven’t received any update from uscis. We opened a request but they said they will take 15 to 30 days to reply … Please adwise what is the best thing I can do now…
