COS status from H1B to L1A visa

Dear Sourabh,

   I wanted to know that is their any option to change of status from H1B to L1A.I am working in US where our employer does not extend H1B after 3 years due to policy so i need to go either for L1A or L1B blanket.So please let  me know what are the options left before me so that i can use my H1B full 6 years.I am having approved H1B petition for 3 years.Currently in US now

I think you need to have worked for the same company outside the US for 1 year in the past 3 years to be eligible for L1.

If you don’t mind changing company, a new company can transfer your H1-B (transfers are not cap-subject) and you can get the rest of your 6 years. If they sponsor you for a green card you can get more than 6 years.
