Suppose I get my F1 visa on June 6th from India and classes in US start on August 29th. When can I start from India to US? Can I start on June 12th or so, if I have relatives near my university in the US?
You are allowed to enter the United States only 30 days prior to start of study program. Travelling earlier than July 30th could cause a refusal at port of entry. This rule has been enforced since September 11 2001 event
