Changing L1 and affect on spouse L2 EAD

I am currently on L1 with company A and wife is on L2(valid till 2014 sept) and received EAD on the same L1 petition. Now my company A has been acquired by company B and B is trying to file a new L1 petition for me. Will the L2 EAD(valid till 2014 sept) already received become invalid when I receive new L1? Wife is currently working and we have to go back to home country to get the new L1 stamped. when we come back can she continue on same job? what are the alternatives if no?
