Change of status from H4 to H1 or F1?

Hi,

I am currently on H4 and have a company filing for my H1 in the Lottery. At the same time, I have also secured an admit from an university for MS and my I20 could be issued anytime soon.

  1. Will my H1 application (if picked in lottery) be affected if I have already received my I20 (i.e. registered on SEVIS system?

  2. Will there be any issue for Change of status from H4 to H1? and if H1 doesn’t get picked, will I be able to change my status from H4 to F1?
