Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions.
I see that a nonprofit called ‘US Tech Workers’ wrote a letter to Trump asking that the H1B program should be suspended this year given the current situation and a lot of American workers getting laid off.
I understand the reasoning behind this, but what is the chance of this actually happening since we’re already underway with the application of these visas and I imagine a decision like this would take some time.
I also understand that the current government wouldn’t necessarily look at it rationally and will do whatever favours them with the general public since they’re seeking a second term later this year.
Your thoughts?
