I have an ayurvedic medicine for stomach in powdered form. I do not know its exact constituents.
How to carry it to US?
I am planning to keep in a transparent pouch and label it as Ayurvedic Medicine. Is that okay?
In one word - Don’t carry ayurvedic medicine.
If it is in original packaging and does not contain live seeds, you are okay. Otherwise Customs and Agriculture will simply take it.

It is in fine powder form so no live seeds but It doesn’t has company packing.
Try and carry some information on what it is. If your sample has anything botanically live in it, one of the agriculture detection dogs will come to you along with an officer. This is not a big deal, the officer will simply ask what it is and decide if they should take the packet or allow it. If you need the medicine, it is a human right violation to confiscate it.
