Can we apply for H1B through company B while travelling on L1 through company A

Hi,

I am currently in India and working for company A in India. This company is processing L1 Visa for me and I might have to travel in May 1st, 2015. At the same time, I am applying for H1B Visa through another desi consultancy in India. If my H1B Visa is approved, I would quit then company A and join B in US, else I would continue in company A.

So my question is:

Can they be both processed at the same time.Can H1B be processed by company B while possessing L1 Visa of company A?If my H1B is picked up in April for company B, can I travel to US with L1 Visa of Company A?. As I guess, I would be getting the H1B Status in October 2015, Can I travel on L1 Visa to US and come back in October? Would there be any problem at the port of entry?Regards,
